Food Processing

Ozone has a wide-range of essential applications in the food processing industry.
Not only it saves costs, but enormously enhances processes, safety standards in production, and maintains pollution control board norms of wastewater.

  • Continuous Infection-Control in production & packaging areas :

  • Raw Water Ozonization : Iron/Arsenic/Manganese etc removal of groundwater taken for processing.
Enhances life of RO membranes as well, as explained in : new link for "RO plants" page.

Raw water in pharmaceutical processing is treated in various ways to tackle iron-content, bacteria, virus, odour or improper colour. Mostly due to treatment of these components with chemicals (like chlorine) has been proven to be costly. Ozone treatment (as is done in Mineral Water plants) has been the biggest sigh of relief for complete raw water disinfection since the last century. Ozone thus cuts down the cost of treatment (because it is a one-time purchase with no man-power required for maintenance & chlorine costs are nullified) and even the quality of treatment to 3157 times stronger (scientifically proven by FDA & OSHA, USA).

  • Clean-In-Place (CIP) : Surface Disinfection of production equipment with Ozonated water.

Cleaning in Place (CIP) being around for approximately 50 years, is commonly used in hygiene critical industries, such Food, Beverage and Pharmaceutical, to clean a wide range of equipment. CIP refers to the use of a mix of chemicals, heat and water to clean machinery, vessels or pipe work without dismantling plant. Using Ozone-dosed water for purification (cleansing) cuts down the cost because of negligence of managed man-power for the present system & cutting down of usage of chemicals by at least 80% and since ozone is 3157 times stronger disinfectant than chlorine, the efficacy of de-contamination is multiple times more.
Most importantly, unlike chemical reagents, Ozone leaves NO TOXIC RESIDUE.

  • Process water Ozonation : Disinfection, Dissolved Oxygen increment, de-toxification of process water.
Ozonation of RO water at outlet for perfect parameters.

  • Waste Water / Effluent Treatment : Ozonation is the most efficient method to remove pharmaceutical waste from wastewater. It has been shown that up to 100% of pharmaceutical micropullutants can be removed using ozone, including Dissolved organic carbon, according to Barasel, et al. (2015).
High COD, BOD reduction in Pharmaceutical Effluent - by measured & concentrated Ozonization.
Reduction of other toxicities, metals, etc, plus de-odorization and de-colorization of the effluent - so that the water is re-used.
Plus, Ozonated ETP & STP with pre-treatment Ozonation - that saves 40% of capital cost & 50% space!
